ANGLE Developer(s)ĪNGLE ( Almost Native Graphics Layer Engine) is an open source, BSD-licensedgraphics engineabstraction layer developed by Google. Can't wait for ANGLE with GL ES 3.0, on top of DX 11! Install a driver providing OpenGL 2.0 or higher, or if this is not possible, make sure the ANGLE Open GL ES 2.0 emulation libraries (libEGL.dll, libGLESv2.dll and d3dcompilet.dll) are available in the application executable's directory or in a location listed in PATH. ANGLE brings stability to OpenGL, by using DirectX's D3D for rendering, and leverage the GL API by using the cleaner, more consistent, OpenGL ES. Level of OpenGL ES support via backing renderers Platform support via backing renderers. Future plans include ES 3.2, translation to Metal and MacOS, Chrome OS, and Fuchsia support. ANGLE currently provides translation from OpenGL ES 2.0, 3.0 and 3.1 to Vulkan, desktop OpenGL, OpenGL ES, Direct3D 9, and Direct3D 11.
